March 2024, saw the achievement of a major milestone in the Indian hotel market sector with the celebration of Lemon Tree Hotels welcoming its 100th hotel to the group.  To commemorate this achievement, a special presentation at the recent HICSA conference in Bangalore was made to Lemon Tree Hotel’s Chairman and founder, Mr. Patu Keswani.

Xn Global System’s Group Chief Executive, Greg Spicer and Lennert de Jong, President, Hospitality, Planet, jointly presented Mr. Keswani with a congratulatory plaque, honoring their 100^th Lemon Tree hotel, whilst marking the occasion of the first 100-site, 9800+ room, cloud-hosted protel PMS project in India, a milestone for their protel PMS technology in India.

Founded in 2004, Lemon Tree Hotels began modestly, with a single 49-room hotel in Delhi. Today, Lemon Tree is one of the fastest growing hospitality brands in India and boasts operations throughout 64 Indian cities and resorts as well as an international presence in Dubai and Bhutan.

The reason for the group’s success is clear. Recognized as a highly successful entrepreneur in the hotel sector, Mr. Keswani identified a missing niche in the Indian hotel mid-market. Lemon Tree Hotels was crafted and nurtured to fill this market gap as the preferred accommodation solution for business and leisure travelers wanting mid-market hospitality.

Today, there are seven brands under the Lemon Tree Hotels umbrella spanning Lemon Tree, Keys Lite and Red Fox (economy), Keys Select, Keys Prima, and Lemon Tree Premier (midscale) to Aurika Hotels and Resorts (5 star). With its listing on the National Stock Exchange, Lemon Tree Hotels became a public company in April 2018.

Lemon Tree Hotels and Xn Global Systems Group began their technology association in 2008 with the adoption by Lemon Tree Hotels of protel MPE, a multi-property PMS, provided by Planet.
